Show us your projects

As we are all in lock down I'm sure my fellow guild members are taking advantage of this time to get on with some of their projects and let their creative juice flow.

As we can't meet for our regular meetings we still want to see what our fellow guild members are making and so we've created on the website a show and tell page.

If you have a finished project send us a picture by going to the show and tell upload page.

If you want to look at what fellow members are doing check out the show and tell page

Manawatu Woodworkers Guild - grandfather clock
Created by: Keith French design from a photograph in a woodworking magazine. Since measurements are not easily taken from an oblique angle photograph and as no plans could be found, I made an MDF mock up to get the dimensions right. I also made a mantlepiece clock to sort out the carving techniques. Made from NZ kauri and exotic veneers. Clock numerals were cut from ivory piano keys. Bevelled glass was used on the doors and curved glass on the two side inspection doors. Klieninger clock works.
