Pinocchio Toy Making

Every Wednesday afternoon from 1-3pm a happy group of toymakers gathers at the Guild hall to create a wonderful variety of wooden toys for underprivileged children.

We often enjoy some home baking! Other Guild members are busy in their workshops at home. We donate these annually to our five nominated charities at our November monthly meeting with each charity usually receiving about 100 toys - some left as natural wood and others brightly painted. The charities supported by the Guild are Across, Arohanui Hospice, Barnados, Manchester House and the Salvation Army.

We also welcome donations of damaged wooden toys that we can repair and pass on.
